Kevin F. Story—
—is an actor, director, writer, and musician working in both Los Angeles and New York. On-stage credits include KING OF THE ROAD: THE ROGER MILLER STORY (world premiere, Laguna Playhouse), HANSEL & GRETEL (Valley Perf. Arts Ctr tour), A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Flute, 2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival; Bottom, Dix Hills Perf. Arts Ctr NY), LES MISÉRABLES (Valjean, Anchorage Concert Association et al.), WEST SIDE STORY (Krupke, Musical Theatre West), COMPANY (David, Cabrillo Music Theatre), THÉNARDIER'S INN (Enjolras, CAC Studios/Three Clubs Hollywood), GODSPELL (John the Baptist/Judas, NYC), and SMOKEY JOE'S CAFÉ (Theatre Three NY). He also directed the world premieres of PETERSON'S WAR by writer/publisher Dan Rattiner and THE TOMB by novelist Ed Sharrow.
A multi-instrumentalist and composer, Kevin has also music directed and played keyboards in shows on both coasts, including RENT, MISS SAIGON, THE WEDDING SINGER, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, CAROUSEL, and FOOTLOOSE.
He began Work in Progress Productions in 2003, producing and directing a number of shows and concerts. He has written original music, plays, poems, and prose, including the score for the short film Looney in a Straight Jacket and its sequel; music for the world premiere of Viewers Like You, the world premiere of The Animal Within, and the Long Island premiere of Jewtopia; as well as book and music for Theatre Three's King Arthur's Krazy Kwest, Starship Imagination, and Peter Pan: Neverland Adventures. He also created the Theatre Arts program at the Santa Clarita Valley International Charter School in Castiac, Calif.
He holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from Five Towns College and a certification in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Theatre component. He will be attending NYU's graduate Performance Studies program in fall 2017.
