I am a scholar of the history, theory, and practice of theatre, in a very broad sense of the word. I tend to focus on projects which highlight the intersection between theatre and other media, such as music, dance, and visual art. My master's research focused on the implications of performance in the educational setting. I expect my doctoral research (when it comes) will deal in some way with musical theatre in theory and practice.
In 2018, I was asked to contribute an article to the xChange Anthology, published through a grant from the NYU Tisch Graduate Student Organization. The article is available in a slightly modified form on my blog in two sections:
In addition to presenting my thesis, “Performing Education: Using the Repertoire in the Classroom”, I have led and co-led a number of workshops and seminars on a range of performance-related topics. Some of my teaching materials are available on Patreon.
